The KCA Writing Exam is divided two parts.
Part one of the KCA writing exam a longer piece of writing on a
specific topic. It is often a personal letter to a friend. You
will need to look at the topic carefully to see what is required.
The second part requires you to write
a short piece. Often this piece is a business memo, fax or
e-mail.
For ALL
writing topics remember to:
- Check to see what information is required
for your writing.
- Check to see what verb tense or tenses
are required in your writing.
- Check to see what organizational structure
and register is needed.
- Example: Is it a personal letter, memo,
or e-mail?
- Take a few minutes to do a quick plan.
This will improve your mark!
